Julie Anne Is Still Wasted In GMA



Potential. It’s a word that essentially means what could be. When one describes someone’s potential, it’s usually with a sense of hope and an eye towards the future. Words like unlimited, and great usually precede the word. Sometimes though opportunities are missed, and potential is wasted.

And there could be no bigger potential being squandered than that of Julie Anne San Jose, whether its a start and stop pushes or just not having the backing from the right people in GMA.

Several months ago a producer abroad laid a career plan for Julie but for some reasons She chose GMA over bigger opportunities, and all she got in return is an atrocious soap opera where a former That's Entertainment star (who's currently not loved by many and glory days is way behind her) had been hogging spotlight. On paper it was viewed as a push but it never get passed through that entry level aspiring popstar story she had before, and as soon as that storyline ended there was never a follow through, so far the only thing it did was kept her busy while the front office favorites gets the better and bigger projects.

Then there's that comical noontime show where she appeared 5 minutes this week and lucky enough to get 2 the next week. As if someone is throwing a dart to a wall and luckily landed on a Julie sticky note. Or the creatives is only protecting other interests and needs to listen to the portion of the audience villainizing Her.

Now that Buena Familia is ending and she farewelled to DayOff, I'm hoping that GMA uses this break to finally figure out how to properly utilize her obvious talents.

She's a singer, a great one and should be singing with other great music artists consistently in a musical show, an environment where she really thrives. And If ever she's given another tv series have it a ground breaking one and put her in a real leadrole.

In any jobs hardwork and loyalty is always rewarded and its about time Julie get hers but if you push the gas pedal and the brake on a car simultaneously, you never actually get anywhere. Plus, you feel a little queasy while you're on that road to nowhere.

Maging Sino Ka Man Failing In The Rating Race

GMA's new Primetime Teleserye Maging Sino Ka Man has not been so impressive in terms of ratings, it's just the third most-watched show on primetime in its debut week and not even the most-watched GMA primetime program, that honor goes to 24Oras while ABS-CBN's Batang Quiapo is now the undisputed number 1 weekday show after Voltes V legacy ended. What is even more alarming is that the ratings trend for MSKM is on a downward trajectory while Batang Quiapo is having a surge. I Was Right About Louise Delos Reyes

I have always been skeptical about the huge push GMA handed to Louise Delos Reyes. From the start I've been firm and very vocal in my opinion that she's a hardsell as a leading lady, much more as the Network's top star. After a not so successful youth oriented series on TV5, Louise returned to GMA as an impromptu onscreen partner to Elmo Magalona in Pilyang Kerubin, and later as one of the casts of Tween Hearts, but only for very short stint as she was immediately elevated to leadstar status to play the title role in Alakdana and since starred in several primetime dramas, including the drowned Kambal Sirena.
