The Way Sunday PinaSaya Has Presented Julie Anne Is Atrocious

While the title of her 10th anniversary concert is In Control, obviously-- one of the things Julie Anne San Jose is not in control of is Sunday Pinasaya's presentation of her.

Julie's own musical segment on the show was apparently scrapped and she's just being inserted in whatever segment the creatives believe she could sing. I could've overlooked that but-- again, she didnt have a singing prod in its latest episode. She was put in the new Kantaserye where she sang a few lines but was put in the background of other loud casts who are trying to outloud each other. I even groaned when the segment featured more of the unknown noisy Ilonggo girl than Julie, "the regular main cast". Its even more absurd considering the segment was supposed to be a musical skit and your resident singer was a part of it.

The creatives did make up for that bringing her character back in the Adarna segment, but so what? Everyone is in there anyway. To make matters worse, Jose Manalo appearing to be peverted to her was awkward and distasteful. Though they did make up for all of that by letting her promote her upcomming concert but that would've been better if she did so after a special singing prod.

It makes one wonder what message the show is trying to send regarding Julie.

Conspiracy theorists has it that Julie's importance is being lowered purposely by the key people behind the show to please a particular section of its audience and of its sister program Eat Bulaga where Julie happens to be off-limits aswell.

I dont know if thats the case or the creatives is just so inept. Either way, Julie deserve better.

Not that she's complaining. Julie is a consummate pro and a team player, Im pretty sure she has no problem doing what her bosses told her so.

There's also no doubt that she's being paid well to do so. And afterall she's living her dream being celebrated as the top singer in GMA.

However, Im still hoping that GMA Artists Center will give her a proper career track and GMA Network will put her in better projects where she will be treated as a talented performer.

But that could be just wishful thinking, right?

Maging Sino Ka Man Failing In The Rating Race

GMA's new Primetime Teleserye Maging Sino Ka Man has not been so impressive in terms of ratings, it's just the third most-watched show on primetime in its debut week and not even the most-watched GMA primetime program, that honor goes to 24Oras while ABS-CBN's Batang Quiapo is now the undisputed number 1 weekday show after Voltes V legacy ended. I Was Right About Louise Delos Reyes

I have always been skeptical about the huge push GMA handed to Louise Delos Reyes. From the start I've been firm and very vocal in my opinion that she's a hardsell as a leading lady, much more as the Network's top star. After a not so successful youth oriented series on TV5, Louise returned to GMA as an impromptu onscreen partner to Elmo Magalona in Pilyang Kerubin, and later as one of the casts of Tween Hearts, but only for very short stint as she was immediately elevated to leadstar status to play the title role in Alakdana and since starred in several primetime dramas, including the drowned Kambal Sirena.
