GMA Christmas Station ID 2020

GMA releases their 2020 Christmas Station ID last Monday and it's official lyric video Tuesday. In my opinion the lyric video is much better than the actual Station ID as it's less stressful without the imagery of the calamities. And I think it's the original one that was set to premiere last week.

As you may know the station ID was supposed to be released last Thursday, unfortunately it was the same day Typhoon Ulysses ravaged through the country so it was only fitting for it to be re-schedule. GMA also had time to somehow add some image of the recent calamity and it's victim. A case of GMA overthinking.

I Was Right About Louise Delos Reyes

I have always been skeptical about the huge push GMA handed to Louise Delos Reyes. From the start I've been firm and very vocal in my opinion that she's a hardsell as a leading lady, much more as the Network's top star. After a not so successful youth oriented series on TV5, Louise returned to GMA as an impromptu onscreen partner to Elmo Magalona in Pilyang Kerubin, and later as one of the casts of Tween Hearts, but only for very short stint as she was immediately elevated to leadstar status to play the title role in Alakdana and since starred in several primetime dramas, including the drowned Kambal Sirena. Maging Sino Ka Man Failing In The Rating Race

GMA's new Primetime Teleserye Maging Sino Ka Man has not been so impressive in terms of ratings, it's just the third most-watched show on primetime in its debut week and not even the most-watched GMA primetime program, that honor goes to 24Oras while ABS-CBN's Batang Quiapo is now the undisputed number 1 weekday show after Voltes V legacy ended. What is even more alarming is that the ratings trend for MSKM is on a downward trajectory while Batang Quiapo is having a surge. MagingSinoKaMan's rating is just too low for its timeslot, it got bumped by Royal Blood and even by the afternoon show Abot Kamay Na Pangarap out of the top 3 daily programs.
