Long time no post, and as I reflect to the boring happenings around GMA this past days. I wonder, Am I The Only One Who. . .

. . . baffles that Jennylyn Mercado, who've won a StarStruck star search Megan Young could not, was never considered for the role of Marimar in 2007, when Felipe Gozon doesn't even know the former Miss World is part of their talent roster? Well, atleast Marian Rivera played every role there is before finally getting the big break, not to mention the reigning Queen of GMA is a real actress.

. . . thinks Iya Villania have been a GMA's replacement star? She replaced Isabelle Daza on Taste Buddies and now replacing Pia Guanio on Chika Minute. Is there any plan of giving her a project she can claim hers?

. . . has no rooting interest for To The Top? GMA Public Affairs' new reality Boy Band Search just pop out of nowhere without any compelling build up. And Why the News and Public Affairs is even looking for a singing group?

. . . roll eyes on Janine Gutierrez and Elmo Magalona's Singapore vacation press release whatever? Not only that there's not much substance to talk about with this matter, there is actually none. Not even the hottest loveteams has this kind of meaningless stories. Its absolutely pointless especially for Elmo Magalona who's not even relevant this days. Can't we talk about other things such as career advancement? Anything anyone?

. . . is laughing at some entertainment press who claimed WoWoWin is going salvage Sunday AllStars' ratings? GMA's flagship musical vareity show did increased in viewership last week, but mainly because of little creative tweaks. On the other hand, after its much hyped pilot WoWoWin is experiencing a nosedive and buried by the rival network's movie block for consecutive weeks

. . . thinks Felipe Gozon is just jumping on the bandwagon when he threw a hero's welcome for Kobe Paras for successfuly defending his FIBA U18 Slamdunk Championship? Like his company has something to do with the young cager's achievement. I highly doubt if GMA can even help him with his showbiz career, much more with his basketball career. GMA cant even get a deal for a Basketball league broadcast. The last basketball show they had was SlamDunk, an anime series.

Maging Sino Ka Man Failing In The Rating Race

GMA's new Primetime Teleserye Maging Sino Ka Man has not been so impressive in terms of ratings, it's just the third most-watched show on primetime in its debut week and not even the most-watched GMA primetime program, that honor goes to 24Oras while ABS-CBN's Batang Quiapo is now the undisputed number 1 weekday show after Voltes V legacy ended. What is even more alarming is that the ratings trend for MSKM is on a downward trajectory while Batang Quiapo is having a surge. MagingSinoKaMan's rating is just too low for its timeslot, it got bumped by Royal Blood and even by the afternoon show Abot Kamay Na Pangarap out of the top 3 daily programs. While some may say that it's still in the top 5 programs this is still disappointing considering its stars Barbie Forteza and David Licauco were fresh out of the successful Maria Clara at Ibarra and were highly touted for the show's success and were named the breakout loveteam. I Was Right About Louise Delos Reyes

I have always been skeptical about the huge push GMA handed to Louise Delos Reyes. From the start I've been firm and very vocal in my opinion that she's a hardsell as a leading lady, much more as the Network's top star. After a not so successful youth oriented series on TV5, Louise returned to GMA as an impromptu onscreen partner to Elmo Magalona in Pilyang Kerubin, and later as one of the casts of Tween Hearts, but only for very short stint as she was immediately elevated to leadstar status to play the title role in Alakdana and since starred in several primetime dramas, including the drowned Kambal Sirena. Fast forward today, GMA's Next Most Important Leading Lady has found herself suddenly below the level of importance.
