Am I The Only One: Random Thoughts

As I reflect to some of the happenings on GMA this week. I wonder, Am I The Only One Who. . .

. . . thought it was annoying that GMA keep misspelling Julie Anne San Jose's name? And their inconsistency is the only thing more ridiculous. She's been in GMA for about a decade and yet they're still confuse whether or not to put an "E" on her A N N E.

. . . has little interest on the rumored show that will be replacing SAS? Sounds like another experiment with names of Marian Rivera, Ai Ai Delas Alas, Wally Bayola and Jose Manalo being brought up, it would be more like Eat Bulaga meets Launch Date, far from a classic musical show we grew up watching every Sunday. It seems GMA is more concern how to make up with Ai Ai and Marian's big guranteed contracts than really coming up with a great program. I know GMA wants to be different but there is a reason why classic still works, I bet this stuff wont even last a year.

. . . find it both silly and insulting that GMA officials want Jose and Wally to be the counterpart of Martin-Garry on ABS and Ogie-Janno on TV5? Ok, Jose is alot better entertainer than Betong but really, Can GMA think of anything more classy?

. . . thinks its better for Lilybeth Rasonable to admit her mistakes and just bring back Party Pilipinas?

. . . thinks Eat Bulaga is showcasing GMA singers better than SAS lately with its new Bulaga Pa More segment? The new sing-off segment already featured Jonalyn Viray, Aicelle Santos, Maricris Garcia and Frencheska Farr, its the type of meaningful friendly competetion SAS missed back when it was a weird reality competition and its the segment they should've been doing instead of Lip Sing It and Betong's loads of crap.

. . . is happy for MARS that just celebrated their third anniversary? Camille Prats and Suzi Entrata's info-tainment talkshow is now on air longer than GMA7 talkshows like Basta Everyday Happy and H.O.T. TV that didnt even had a chance to celebrate an anniversary. To think of it GMA News TV programs tend to have longer runs than those on the main channel. Pop Talk, Biyahe Ni Drew, IJuander and Good News continues to be great alternative shows. DayOff particularly, have been a permanent fixture of its programing eversince its QTV days. This is where the entertainment department needs to learn from their News and Public affairs counterparts. You dont do trial and errors. Make a good show and make your staff dedicate to it.

. . . thinks GMA should make a new reality show and title it LayOff? Pilot episode will feature SAS casts and staff. What you think?
