GMA's Problem: The Network Is Bad And Marian Is Getting Married

One of the biggest and most accurate critism towards GMA Network throughout the past years is its failure to establish new top level talents and move on to a new era of younger stars. 2014 is ending and Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes are still the lone two stars pulling their wagon, with distinct lack of fresh talents ready to take their place.

Marian is without a doubt the biggest star GMA has produced since Angel Locsin, but she's also the network's biggest liability. She'd been the Queen of the Kapuso Network for the last eight years, in fact they made her so big that they made sure nobody else goes on top beyond of her.

Marian is like a huge rock GMA had put on their yard, you can't mow over it so, you just have to mow around it.

Remember the days when GMA was the top tv network? Its because Angel Locsin and Richard Gutierrez were the fresh faces on televison and viewers were just fed up of the same old soap princesses over their rival network.

But GMA did the same mistake with its over reliance on Marian's star power. Marian is phenomenal and righfully took Angel's place, but she's not always 22 years old and GMA has not always been in the cellar. The lack of top tier talents made the network stale and drove alot of viewers who wanted something fresh away.

Well, its not as its Marian's fault, its not that she woke up one day and decided that she's going to sit atop of GMA for as long as she wants.

Uncreativity, wrong talent assessment, inconsistencies in decission making and even politics in the system that plagued the network through the years were of course some of the blamed reasons why GMA failed to make a transition to the next generation of stars.

The younger version of Marian was Marimar and Dyesebel and she's just fun to watch. But Marian is now 30, she's about to become a housewife and the network is bad. Its not fun anymore.
