Am I The Only One?:Thoughts On Julie Anne San Jose, Sunday AllStars And More

As I reflect to the happenings around GMA programing this week, I wonder, Am I The Only One Who. . .

. . . wishes Julie Anne San Jose is more than a second tier character in Buena Familia? As its teaser suggests, Kylie Padilla is obviously the main protagonist who will be hogging the spotlight, that will probably leave Julie in 2nd unit storylines. I have nothing against Kylie but it would certainly be a regress for Julie who has captured more achievements than any GMA youngstars over the last year-plus. In all fairness, GMAAC has done a better job lately pushing Julie as one of GMA's top stars however, Lilybeth Rasonable and her team of (un)creatives never supported it. Julie is not a bottom feeder like Mayton Eugenio or Ryza Cenon but she's also not being viewed as a top tier by the Entertainment Department either. She never really had true lead roles and just lumping into tales of talents the network chooses to build up more than her.

. . . finds it ridiculous that GMA wasted time publishing press release about an InstaDad viewer sending appreciation letter to Felipe Gozon knowing the show is about to get axe already? I guess the letter never reached the chairman in time?

. . . notices GMA is becoming a home of washed out ABS-CBN talents? Stars such as Ai Ai Delas Alas, Heart Evangelista, Megan Young, Lauren Young, Martin Del Rosario, Tom Rodriguez, Kiko Estrada, Iya Villania and yes, Willie Revillame are all getting more prominent spots on the network than homegrown talents. Whatever happened to their talent development?

. . . finds it unfair that lower tier talents from ABS-CBN are often turned instant top stars on GMA while it takes forever for some homegrown Kapuso Stars to have their breaks.

. . . was outraged by the long meaningless and unfunny comedy prod on Sunday AllStars?

. . . believes the singers saved what is otherwise another terrible Sunday AllStars episode.

. . . thinks Regine Velasquez Alcasid's interpretation of Tina Arena's Burn on SAS was already a swan song? It is said corfirmed that the songbird turned down the replacement show for SAS

. . . Believes GMA blew their chances to build up Gabbi Garcia and Ruru Madrid as a top loveteam? Let The Love Begin would've been their stepping stone, but what is supposed to be a romantic teen lovestory (like its movie inspiration), was turned into an astrocious melo-drama highlighted by a lunatic Donita Rose gunshooting everywhere like Elmer Fudge. And its far too little too late when they finally decided to pair the two on the sunsetting InstaDad . Now Im curious to see where Gabbi goes from here considering she's being viewed as the next big thing a few months ago.
