Does Anyone Really Missed Aljur?


Where is Aljur Abrenica?

The StarStruck Ultimate Hunk had been gone from showbiz for months due to his legal disputes over GMA network. And after some ramblings, seemed Aljur finally found his enlightenment and returned to television via SundayAllStars.

Sadly, GMA make it seems like he's never left.

Aljur left showbiz with no entry point and he returned as the same guy as he was which is stale and uninspiring.

With every segment Aljur appeared in on SAS the question changes from Where's Aljur? to Why Aljur? And now its only a matter of time before he is paired with Kris Bernal for 9,875th time. Well, maybe because that is the only thing he's capable of.

Aljur seem to have the promise when he won StarStruck, unfortunately his inability to improve on his skills made him boarderline expendible. We can also blame GMA for how ridiculous they made Aljur's image was, dressing up as Red Zaido and Machette didnt helped his long ailing career at all.

Aljur is just a name on GMA and when he left he was easily replaced and everybody moved on, now he's back its even harder for anyone to care.

Maging Sino Ka Man Failing In The Rating Race

GMA's new Primetime Teleserye Maging Sino Ka Man has not been so impressive in terms of ratings, it's just the third most-watched show on primetime in its debut week and not even the most-watched GMA primetime program, that honor goes to 24Oras while ABS-CBN's Batang Quiapo is now the undisputed number 1 weekday show after Voltes V legacy ended. What is even more alarming is that the ratings trend for MSKM is on a downward trajectory while Batang Quiapo is having a surge. MagingSinoKaMan's rating is just too low for its timeslot, it got bumped by Royal Blood and even by the afternoon show Abot Kamay Na Pangarap out of the top 3 daily programs. I Was Right About Louise Delos Reyes

I have always been skeptical about the huge push GMA handed to Louise Delos Reyes. From the start I've been firm and very vocal in my opinion that she's a hardsell as a leading lady, much more as the Network's top star. After a not so successful youth oriented series on TV5, Louise returned to GMA as an impromptu onscreen partner to Elmo Magalona in Pilyang Kerubin, and later as one of the casts of Tween Hearts, but only for very short stint as she was immediately elevated to leadstar status to play the title role in Alakdana and since starred in several primetime dramas, including the drowned Kambal Sirena.
