Julie Anne Not Singing Is Wrong

Today mark the official release of Julie Anne San Jose's EP Forever, which is still holding a strong spot on the iTunes album chart . But today also mark the fifth straight week Julie has been kept from singing on Sunday Pinasaya. Her last singing prod on the show was October 4.

When GMA's new Sunday Show took over SAS I was positive that Julie would be holding the musical segment of the show (since Regine Velasquez Alcasid turned the show down), well she did during the early days of the show but eventually it became occasional and suddenly it just stop. Zero- Hopia!

Julie's acting skills improved by leaps and bounds, yet singing remains to be her main arsenal and what the fans are missing from her right now.

Is there any good reason why the network's most talented and successful homegrown singer is being kept from doing what she does best?

SPS director Rich Ilustre explained on Twitter;

"@Jenyjaps SPS is a comedy variety show so we have diff segments rotating every week." -@RichIlustre

That's neccessarily true but at the same time not true. The past recent episodes had featured musical segments but all excluded Julie. Today, the show even invited Charice to sing, (which I find unclassy since she's a regular ASAP performer) but perhaps the only real agenda there is for her to endorse Aldub.

So what's going on here? Are there really people out there who's job is to keep Julie's best talent from the public and prevent her from breaking her glass ceiling?

We've gone through this before, and its just frustrating that we still need to fight for this inspite how many times Julie had proven herself.

She brings sense of beauty, hard work, good character, swagger, and loads of talents that even some workers from the other network are praising.

But GMA decission makers aren't making it clear that they feel the same way and often asking Julie to step aside and wait for her turn.

Fans are not trending her because they have nothing else more important to do, they trend her because they want to see the best and Julie is one of the best and deserves the best.

She doesn't have to be on TV all day long but a musician as great as she is not being allowed to perform is criminal.

Maging Sino Ka Man Failing In The Rating Race

GMA's new Primetime Teleserye Maging Sino Ka Man has not been so impressive in terms of ratings, it's just the third most-watched show on primetime in its debut week and not even the most-watched GMA primetime program, that honor goes to 24Oras while ABS-CBN's Batang Quiapo is now the undisputed number 1 weekday show after Voltes V legacy ended. What is even more alarming is that the ratings trend for MSKM is on a downward trajectory while Batang Quiapo is having a surge. I Was Right About Louise Delos Reyes

I have always been skeptical about the huge push GMA handed to Louise Delos Reyes. From the start I've been firm and very vocal in my opinion that she's a hardsell as a leading lady, much more as the Network's top star. After a not so successful youth oriented series on TV5, Louise returned to GMA as an impromptu onscreen partner to Elmo Magalona in Pilyang Kerubin, and later as one of the casts of Tween Hearts, but only for very short stint as she was immediately elevated to leadstar status to play the title role in Alakdana and since starred in several primetime dramas, including the drowned Kambal Sirena.
