As I reflect to this past week on GMA Network, I Wonder Am I The Only One Who?. . .

. . . thinks GMA News And Public Affairs is a little insensitve everytime they report about the NBA Finals and how much it's being anticipated? The NBA Finals is a huge detriment to GMA morning programming, specially to Yan Ang Morning and Princess In The Palace which already struggling in ratings.

. . . laughed out really hard to Dasuri Choi's fake Korean song on Pepito Manaloto? Of course only a Michael V. could come up with something like that.

. . . thinks Julie Anne San Jose and Jhake Vargas makes a believable couple in Pepito Manaloto? I know they've been together in other shows but the Chito and Nikki chemistry stands out because of their well defined storylines and well developed characters.

. . . thought the first episode of the second season of Lipsync Battle Philippines was a snorefest? Not that AiAi Delas Alas and Arnel Ignacio was bad, I just ranout of interest for the show after featuring too many stand-up comedians. To be honest Dennis Trillo and Tom Rodriguez are still the undisputed LSB-Ph Champions and the pilot episode remains to be it's best episode.

. . . thinks its time for Star Buzz to move on from Mayor Juterte and vice versa? SPS writers should start putting other guests in to this talk show and let the President Elect fulfill his other obligations.

. . . Wonder if Julie Anne San Jose was warranted to destroy a part of the props on their SPS Kantaserye? Julie punch the Teban character tarp effectively destroying it. I also wonder if the Teban guy who only appeared twice on the said segment where he did something unpleasant was purposely removed from the show due to unprofessional misbehaviour. Anyway, his face is now officially gone from the show.

. . . happy that Julie Anne's musical segment on SPS is back but at the same time worried that it's only temporary? This show has been good at playing with my feelings making me believe they take Julie's talent seriously only to disappoint me later on.

Maging Sino Ka Man Failing In The Rating Race

GMA's new Primetime Teleserye Maging Sino Ka Man has not been so impressive in terms of ratings, it's just the third most-watched show on primetime in its debut week and not even the most-watched GMA primetime program, that honor goes to 24Oras while ABS-CBN's Batang Quiapo is now the undisputed number 1 weekday show after Voltes V legacy ended. What is even more alarming is that the ratings trend for MSKM is on a downward trajectory while Batang Quiapo is having a surge. MagingSinoKaMan's rating is just too low for its timeslot, it got bumped by Royal Blood and even by the afternoon show Abot Kamay Na Pangarap out of the top 3 daily programs. I Was Right About Louise Delos Reyes

I have always been skeptical about the huge push GMA handed to Louise Delos Reyes. From the start I've been firm and very vocal in my opinion that she's a hardsell as a leading lady, much more as the Network's top star. After a not so successful youth oriented series on TV5, Louise returned to GMA as an impromptu onscreen partner to Elmo Magalona in Pilyang Kerubin, and later as one of the casts of Tween Hearts, but only for very short stint as she was immediately elevated to leadstar status to play the title role in Alakdana and since starred in several primetime dramas, including the drowned Kambal Sirena.
