Julie Anne Sings Again In Sunday PinaSaya
In the wake of my rant (click to read) last week, Sunday Pinasaya had Julie Anne San Jose in a singing prod for the second part their anniversary special.
The Pop Sweetheart performed Calvin Harris & Rihanna's This is What You Came For in a sing and dance number with Lani Misalucha and another one with an April Boy/Boys medley for Marian Rivera's skit. With no surprise to anyone Julie delivered both fantastically, as her fans in the studio and those in front of their TV rejoiced. Julie even became a Twitter trending topic, which shows just how badly the fans missed seeing Julie singing on television.
One of the show's producers Mike Tuviera gave an otherwise notable Tweet about her prod.
But honestly, I kind of felt conflicted about his reaction. Of course Im glad and thankful that Julie once again had the chance to sing in a concert-like prod. But as for what he said "as always, brings the house down"--One has to wonder if that's the case then how come Julie's regular singing prod was removed from the program and has become a reccuring segment every once in a guess when again?
It can also be noted that this week's episode still featured less of Julie as aside from those two singing spots she has no other participation on the show compared to other original mainstays who were in almost every segment.
It would be curious to see what the show in store for Julie next week and other weeks to come to find out if the decision makers are to really give her what she righfully deserves. Untill then I will stick with my thoughts that Sunday Pinasaya isn't showcasing Julie's talent the way it should be and someone backstage is setting her up to fail.
