As I Reflect To This Past Week On GMA, I Wonder Am I The Only One Who...

. . . thinks a GMA higher ups has huge crush on Kim Domingo? The Kapuso Network has put up everything for the sexy star recently--loads of inteviews, press releases, a primetime show and now a recording, considering that we've only seeing her for months and hasn't really impacted any fields. Well, GMA has history of being high on sexy stars, in all fairness someone like Diana Zubiri became big during her run in GMA. But there's also Sam Pinto who's not long ago was pitched as could be the next big thing by non other than Felipe Gozon himself untill he bumped his head somewhere (probably).

. . . thinks Encantadia 2016 costumes particularly the combat suits of the Sang'gres and the armors of Lirean soldiers lost the medieval feel? The new costumes are more futuristic and gives as the feel that we're on a Star Wars movie

. . . thinks the people who says that Encantadia is a rip-off of Game Of Thrones are ignorant? Game Of Thrones premiered in 2011-- six years after Encantadia first aired, in fact it was originally conceived a bit earlier and was actually intended as a movie not a tv series . I know GoT was based on a much older novel Song Of Fire And Ice but the book was never that popular in the country untill its TV version. And aside from the concept of war between kingdoms there are merely any similiraties between the two.

. . . thought the Encantadia cast vignettes on Lipsync Battle PH are silly and didn't help the show?

. . . thought Glaiza De Castro's Bawal Na Gamot on Lipsync Battle PH was hilariously relevant?

. . . (on the otherhand) thought Kylie Padilla looked like she's the one on drugs with Adele's Hello?

. . . thought Kylie Padilla's Lady Marmalade already failed when she dressed as Christina Aguilera and lipsynced Maya and Lil Kim's part?

. . . thought Glaiza De Castro's Big Bang performance was overproduced and overperformed? Well, sure it got her the win (like its not already predictable from the show's get go) but she also turned the supposed to be fun clash into her own concert prod, and buried Kylie Padilla in the process (unintentionally).

. . . thinks Sunday Pinasaya should stop catchphrasing the No.1 Sunday noontime habit as that's no longer what the ratings figure says? It was number one for what?-- four episodes?

Maging Sino Ka Man Failing In The Rating Race

GMA's new Primetime Teleserye Maging Sino Ka Man has not been so impressive in terms of ratings, it's just the third most-watched show on primetime in its debut week and not even the most-watched GMA primetime program, that honor goes to 24Oras while ABS-CBN's Batang Quiapo is now the undisputed number 1 weekday show after Voltes V legacy ended. What is even more alarming is that the ratings trend for MSKM is on a downward trajectory while Batang Quiapo is having a surge. MagingSinoKaMan's rating is just too low for its timeslot, it got bumped by Royal Blood and even by the afternoon show Abot Kamay Na Pangarap out of the top 3 daily programs. While some may say that it's still in the top 5 programs this is still disappointing considering its stars Barbie Forteza and David Licauco were fresh out of the successful Maria Clara at Ibarra and were highly touted for the show's success and were named the breakout loveteam. I Was Right About Louise Delos Reyes

I have always been skeptical about the huge push GMA handed to Louise Delos Reyes. From the start I've been firm and very vocal in my opinion that she's a hardsell as a leading lady, much more as the Network's top star. After a not so successful youth oriented series on TV5, Louise returned to GMA as an impromptu onscreen partner to Elmo Magalona in Pilyang Kerubin, and later as one of the casts of Tween Hearts, but only for very short stint as she was immediately elevated to leadstar status to play the title role in Alakdana and since starred in several primetime dramas, including the drowned Kambal Sirena. Fast forward today, GMA's Next Most Important Leading Lady has found herself suddenly below the level of importance.
