As reflect to the happenings on GMA this week I Wonder Am I The Only One Who. . .

. . . finds Alden Richards' exposure an overkill? AlDub is being featured from Unang Hirit to Saksi and if thats not enough GMA had every program he guested in replayed. Like this past Saturday when News TV replayed his episodes of Pop Talk and Taste Buddies which are back to back shows.

. . . thinks Dennis Trillo and Jennylyn Mercado team-up is a missed opportunity? GMA Could've had a rom-com and that could've been more interesting and fresh. Jennylyn won a best actress award for a blockbuster rom-com movie and Dennis in another infidelity story is just tired. Not to mention infidelity stories are already stale.

. . . wonder whose names Sunday PinaSaya's Twitter page is expecting when it posted a question asking who are the male singers the fans want to have a duet with Julie Anne San Jose on the show? Certainly, there aren't too many choices as most males singers in the country are with their rival show. Ogie and Janno are now with TV5 while Mark Bautista and Kris Lawrence are said negotiating for an ABS-CBN comeback, this leaves Christian Bautista as the only male singer on GMA today.

. . . thinks GMA should've made a TV special to present their StarStruck Top 35 instead of airing it on Eat Bulaga where people only cared about AlDub?

. . . thinks GMA Network should've given away Ariana Grande concert tickets instead of Carly Rae Jepsen tickets?

. . . believes Jerald Napoles deserves more credit than what the audience is giving him in Sunday PinaSaya? He's the most consistent and the funniest cast of the show. That Rico Fabio character is a riot.

. . . was disappointed that Julie Anne San Jose didn't have a song number on Sunday PinaSaya this week? Certainly, we can't really complain as we all know from the very start they are not a musical vareity show and if there is musical production number it will only serve as a filler, that leaves GMA's biggest selling recording artist as a filler act. We love Julie on the show but music is her core talent, and the center of her career, not being able to present it would be bad for her music career, especially now that she's being promoted internationally, on the other hand Julie is still luckier than other GMA singers who are now irrelevant. Or At least she's not yet.

Maging Sino Ka Man Failing In The Rating Race

GMA's new Primetime Teleserye Maging Sino Ka Man has not been so impressive in terms of ratings, it's just the third most-watched show on primetime in its debut week and not even the most-watched GMA primetime program, that honor goes to 24Oras while ABS-CBN's Batang Quiapo is now the undisputed number 1 weekday show after Voltes V legacy ended. What is even more alarming is that the ratings trend for MSKM is on a downward trajectory while Batang Quiapo is having a surge. MagingSinoKaMan's rating is just too low for its timeslot, it got bumped by Royal Blood and even by the afternoon show Abot Kamay Na Pangarap out of the top 3 daily programs. I Was Right About Louise Delos Reyes

I have always been skeptical about the huge push GMA handed to Louise Delos Reyes. From the start I've been firm and very vocal in my opinion that she's a hardsell as a leading lady, much more as the Network's top star. After a not so successful youth oriented series on TV5, Louise returned to GMA as an impromptu onscreen partner to Elmo Magalona in Pilyang Kerubin, and later as one of the casts of Tween Hearts, but only for very short stint as she was immediately elevated to leadstar status to play the title role in Alakdana and since starred in several primetime dramas, including the drowned Kambal Sirena. Fast forward today, GMA's Next Most Important Leading Lady has found herself suddenly below the level of importance.
