Am I The Only One Who?: Thoughts On Lipsync BattlePH, Encantadia Sunday PinaSaya And More. . .

As I reflect to this past week on GMA I wonder am I the only one who. . .

. . . believes the dark of days is going to fall upon Encantadia when Minea dies? And by that I mean for the actual show. Marian Rivera is now set to farewell to the show after her character Minea got shot by an unidentified assassin with an arrow. Say what you want against Marian but she's still a major star and her presence is so far the only thing that has made Encantadia 2016 a big deal. The four new Sang'gres has not been stellar and poor character development, rushed storylines and predictability didn't help matters. Its very telling with their plummeting ratings.

. . . thought Alena looked inept for not using her teleportation ability to leave Lireo's castle? I almost fell off my seat when Alena needed to use the main gate to go out and guards was able held her off. It could be said that Alena is just being obedient to her mother's order but then nobody would've have known if she just disappeared out of thin air secretly to see Ybarro and just return later. It would've made more sense if Minea instructed the soldiers and other pixie fairies to close guard her and monitor her every move-- and to report if she disappeared in the castle.

. . . thought it was unbecoming of a just ruler and a loving mother for Minea to force Alena to marry Hitano?.

. . . wonder if GMA is really happy to what they promote as the happy ending of Juan Happy Love Story? Nobody even noticed that show.

. . . thought Rodjun Cruz is just going to be fed to Aicelle Santos on Lipsync Battle Ph? Not that I was disappointed with Rodjun's victory. Its just pretty obvious that GMA is pushing Aicelle as she's all over GMA tv as of late and this is just another way to make her look a thousand bucks, so Im surprised that Rodjun who has been irrelevant has able to beat her on a popularity-base contest. Apparently the audience got fed up with the traffic diva and her online display of affection with her GMA reporter boyfriend who had a participation on the episode.

. . . thought Sunday Pinasaya writers have short memories writing a spiel about Marian Rivera having her long awaited return to the dancefloor? Isn't it Marian was just dancing on the show about three weeks ago for a Maxipeel ad placement? Or is it admitting that what they had for Marian then wasn't even a dance number.

. . . wonder how am I supposed to know the Friend Of Mine used as a mystery song in Kantaririt was Lea Salonga's version like what they've flashed on screen and not the versions of Joey Albert, Jamie Rivera or MYMP?

. . . is hoping Sunday Pinasaya is now happy for further burying Julie Anne San Jose? Two very short segments in a two and a half hour show is almost telling "We dont really have anything good for you for we dont really need you because the fans of our beloved loveteam hates you". At least a police man can waste the taxes I pay (much the like senator on their sister show) doing shenanigans three segments long.-- But I guess to make a loyal singer who have put alot of money for her network's recording company sing everyweek is too much to ask. Yes, I know Sunday Pinasaya is not musical variety show its a comedy show. With aloof creatives.

. . .wish there is an augmented reality app where I can make Julie Anne San Jose perform on ASAP stage?

Maging Sino Ka Man Failing In The Rating Race

GMA's new Primetime Teleserye Maging Sino Ka Man has not been so impressive in terms of ratings, it's just the third most-watched show on primetime in its debut week and not even the most-watched GMA primetime program, that honor goes to 24Oras while ABS-CBN's Batang Quiapo is now the undisputed number 1 weekday show after Voltes V legacy ended. What is even more alarming is that the ratings trend for MSKM is on a downward trajectory while Batang Quiapo is having a surge. MagingSinoKaMan's rating is just too low for its timeslot, it got bumped by Royal Blood and even by the afternoon show Abot Kamay Na Pangarap out of the top 3 daily programs. I Was Right About Louise Delos Reyes

I have always been skeptical about the huge push GMA handed to Louise Delos Reyes. From the start I've been firm and very vocal in my opinion that she's a hardsell as a leading lady, much more as the Network's top star. After a not so successful youth oriented series on TV5, Louise returned to GMA as an impromptu onscreen partner to Elmo Magalona in Pilyang Kerubin, and later as one of the casts of Tween Hearts, but only for very short stint as she was immediately elevated to leadstar status to play the title role in Alakdana and since starred in several primetime dramas, including the drowned Kambal Sirena.
