Julie Anne San Jose returns on GMA NETWORK's music web show Playlist, this time joining popular 90's band South Border lead of course by Jay Durias. The band performed one of their hit songs "Kahit Kailan" with Julie,

Near the top of GMA Network's priority list should have this words; "Find something for Julie Anne San Jose". GMA can't have a performer that talented behind the scenes for far too long. It can't keep conceptualizing new shows without something for her. It can't keep ignoring the call of her fans to feature her more prominently on television.

After the conclusion of Pinulot Ka Lang Sa Lupa which ended as a top rater, Julie Anne San Jose has not had much direction. So Is GMA holding her back or is there a long term plan in place we are yet to see?

For the past three weeks I have skipped watching Sunday Pinasaya--in a long time in my recent memory I've intentionally missed Julie Anne San Jose's show. I keep up with the program through social media and if there is a singing prod or other noteworthy segment regarding Julie then I just check it out on YouTube

2016 have been a good year for Julie Anne San Jose spite GMA didn't put enough effort into showcasing her. After renewing her contract last August, GMA didn't craft alot of substancial plans for their most talented star. Her TV projects had been long delayed. And her music career was disappointingly mishandled.

When Julie Anne San Jose re-signed with GMA last August things seemed to have full of promise, and why not? she's one of the network's most loyal, most hardworking and most importantly the most talented star on their roster.

It is now official . Julie Anne San Jose remains a Kapuso after signing an exclusive multi-year contract with GMA Network last Monday. Of course thats very obvious from the very start, afterall, its the network that really discovered her and has been her home for the past ten years. Never it crossed my mind that someone like Julie would ever leave GMA.

As I reflect to this past week on GMA, I wonder Am I The Only One Who. . . . . . wonder what's taking too long for GMA Network to make Jennylyn Mercado sign a new contract? Her contract expired last May and the negotiations between the two camp is still muddy,-- rumors says the singer-actress has a huge offer from ABS-CBN but still waiting for GMA to make a counter.

As I reflect to this past week on GMA, I Wonder Am I The Only One Who?. . . . . . disgusted and had a scare when I heard the news about Christina Grimmie? The YouTube star was shot during the meet and greet session of her concert and passed away at the hospital where she was taken. Its a sad news as she was too young at 22 and has a great future as a talented singer/musician. Its scary that no one is really safe nowadays with the way our has society has become. Its also disappointing that such a horrible thing could happened in a place where security is suppose to be strict and tight. . . . thought Magpakailanman episode last Saturday about Barang was more like an episode of the defunct GMA show Spooky Nights? I also got a kick out off the obvious disbelief on Mel Tiangco's face and voice tone while interviewing the person telling her lifestory. . . . enjoyed the 1st round of Lipsync Battle PH but totally skipped the 2nd round? The NBA Finals is a huge detriment to GMA morning programming, specially to Yan Ang Morning and Princess In The Palace which already struggling in ratings. . . . laughed out really hard to Dasuri Choi's fake Korean song on Pepito Manaloto? Of course only a Michael V. could come up with something like that. . . . thinks Julie Anne San Jose and Jhake Vargas makes a believable couple in Pepito Manaloto? I know they've been together in other shows but the Chito and Nikki chemistry stands out because of their well defined storylines and well developed characters. . . . thought the first episode of the second season of Lipsync Battle Philippines was a snorefest? As I reflect to this past week on GMA , I wonder Am I The Only One Who?... ... thinks the jokes on Jose Manalo's acne scars are not funny anymore? They've been doing that since I was in elementary and again I don't find insulting someone funny or entertaining at all. ... thinks Arnel Ignacio as Melody the mortal enemy of Aling Goreng played by Joey Paras was anti-climatic? Im not sure if he's the original choice for the role but sure there are alot more other stars who could've made that more of a surprise. Not to mention the ending of the segment was anti-climatic itself. ... finds SPS' Tatlong Bibe skit was just a rip-off of Eat Bulaga's old Ang Joke Ko segment? I can imagine the creative team going like "Lets try to remake that segment from our sister show but lets make it worse, any idea?"  Potential. It’s a word that essentially means what could be. When one describes someone’s potential, it’s usually with a sense of hope and an eye towards the future. Words like unlimited, and great usually precede the word. Sometimes though opportunities are missed, and potential is wasted.

Today mark the official release of Julie Anne San Jose's EP Forever, which is still holding a strong spot on the iTunes album chart . But today also mark the fifth straight week Julie has been kept from singing on Sunday Pinasaya. Her last singing prod on the show was October 4.

VIM Entertainment the producer of Julie Anne San Jose's upcoming U.S. EP is apparently not too happy about how the promotion of the project is doing and recently posted some sentiments on their Twitter account. This reminds me of that situation in 2013 when VIM Entertainment recieved an invitation for Julie to attend the MTV Fashion Week in New York but GMAAC turned it down because Julie needs to do a filler show. At this point, I dont know if there are people behind the scenes who just wanted to hold Julie down or those people behind the scenes are just so inept that they think what they're doing with their talent is actually good. My fear is that when you tell the audience that a talent is "just OK" long enough then it eventually begin to believe it.

Now that we all know StarStruck the Original Reality-Based Artista Search On Philippine TV will be back a few weeks from now, GMA faces the challenges of television ratings and raising the show from irrelevance. But what could be the biggest challenge is to make a star out of who ever wins this time . "Sino Ang Susunod Na Sisikat?"

Dear GMA Chairman Felipe Gozon, Good Day to you Sir and before I get to the matter at hand I want you to know that I am one of your loyal viewers and that I've been watching GMA since I was a child, well except for your awful noontime shows before the Eat Bulaga era. And upto now I still prefer watching You even though your network is now full of washed out ABS-CBN talents and your primetime programs are seem stucked with the same old faces from a decade ago. Now the reason for this correspondence is to discuss your contract singers. I admit some of them are not that too popular but I guess it wont be hard for you to recall their names since there are actually less than ten of them now in your network. This fan just want to tell You that its absolutely unfair that you've taken them out of television and cancel the musical variety genre. It's pretty obvious that it's only a promo for Buena Familia and its really hard to get in to it when Kylie herself smirks obnoxiously on the statement.
