AM I THE ONLY ONE?

After the conclusion of Pinulot Ka Lang Sa Lupa which ended as a top rater, Julie Anne San Jose has not had much direction. So Is GMA holding her back or is there a long term plan in place we are yet to see?

Julie Anne San Jose was one of the performers at the Globe And Disney's I Dare To Dream Concert last Wednesday, and wowed everyone with her performance of Moana's theme song How Far I'll Go, which according to the audience and expectators was one or if not the most applauded performance of the night.

For the past three weeks I have skipped watching Sunday Pinasaya--in a long time in my recent memory I've intentionally missed Julie Anne San Jose's show. I keep up with the program through social media and if there is a singing prod or other noteworthy segment regarding Julie then I just check it out on YouTube

2016 have been a good year for Julie Anne San Jose spite GMA didn't put enough effort into showcasing her. After renewing her contract last August, GMA didn't craft alot of substancial plans for their most talented star. Her TV projects had been long delayed. And her music career was disappointingly mishandled.

As I reflect to this past week on GMA I wonder, Am I The Only One Who. . . . . . already bought a ticket to Julie Anne San Jose and Christian Bautista's concert this coming November? I am definitely excited to see Julie and Christian together on a full-lenght concert and I'm definitely more excited to be in Julie's concert for the second time this year.

It will be a night of beautiful music and memorable performances as Asia's Pop Sweetheart and Asia's Romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista meet in one concert stage. In the wake of my rant ( click to read ) last week, Sunday Pinasaya had Julie Anne San Jose in a singing prod for the second part their anniversary special. The Pop Sweetheart performed Calvin Harris & Rihanna's This is What You Came For in a sing and dance number with Lani Misalucha and another one with an April Boy/Boys medley for Marian Rivera's skit. As I reflect to this past week on GMA I Wonder Am The Only One Who. . . . . . thought Dennis Trillo proved that he is the best damn actor in the Philippines today with his Asian Star Prize Award in South Korea? There maybe other popular actors here--one says he's phenomenal, and another one who claims he has an undisputed number one primetime soap but its talent that eventually wins and Dennis won, internationally. . . . believes Jennylyn Mercado should be the top choice to star in a movie with Korean actor Lee Min Ho? GMA7, APT Entertainment and S. Korean production Solaire signed a deal to do a joint venture, one of which is a film starring Korean superstar Lee Min Ho and a yet to be named Kapuso actress. And I believe it should be no other than Jennylyn Mercado--she's currently the only bonafide boxoffice movie actress of GMA. And GMA still owes her something after her My Love From The Star got shelved. . . . . . (but) wont be surprise if Andrea Torres will be chosen ins...

Here we go again. Julie Anne San Jose is the human cannonball with her helmet strapped tight, her arms pressed to his sides, waiting inside a cannon that may never fire. GMA simply refuses to commit to elevating the talented singer.

As I reflect to this past week on GMA I wonder Am I The Only One Who. . . . . . thinks Annette Gozon Abrogar (picture above) sent a clear wrong message to the rest of GMA roster with her statement "Aldub Teleserye Is Our Priority"? Thats explains away why most GMA artists are in floating status, GMA primetime is currently full of Koreanovelas and why Jennylyn Mercado's teleserye got cancelled.

As I reflect to this past week on GMA I Wonder Am I The Only One Who. . . . . .had totally forgotten everything about My Juan Happy Love Story? Dennis Trillo and Heart Evangelista's series is on its final week but I actually thought it already ended months ago.

Its just this week when GMA started airing the plug for Superstar Duets, the new reality comedy-singing competition hosted by Jennylyn Mercado which will be replacing Lipsync Battle Ph starting September 3. If I didnt know better I swear Jennylyn is set to fail with this show.

It is now official . Julie Anne San Jose remains a Kapuso after signing an exclusive multi-year contract with GMA Network last Monday. Of course thats very obvious from the very start, afterall, its the network that really discovered her and has been her home for the past ten years. Never it crossed my mind that someone like Julie would ever leave GMA.

As I reflect to this past week on GMA, I wonder Am I The Only One Who... . . . wished we've seen more of Julie Anne San Jose as Chikaminute anchor? Julie took Iya Villania's (who is in matternity leave) place last Tuesday and I hope to see more of her on the news program. That's the least GMA can do for her since Sunday Pinasaya is very keen on burying her with a very little screentime.

As I reflect to this past week on GMA I Wonder Am I The Only One Who. . . . . . is not high on the rumored new musical-comedy show of GMA? If GMA truly wants something for their underutilized singers then just do a straight up musical show
